Glen Laurel Mission/Vision Statement

The mission/vision for Glen Laurel is to develop and maintain an attractive community that provides stable and affordable housing while increasing property value, improving quality of life, and creating a strong sense of community spirit.

History of the Glen Laurel Homeowners Association

On February 11, 1999 the original Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions for Glen Laurel were recorded. This document established restrictions regarding the use of the property.

The use restrictions include, but are not limited to: fencing styles, maintenance of lots, storage of vehicles, etc.

On June 14, 2001 a Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions for Glen Laurel were recorded at the Mecklenburg County Register of Deeds to create a Homeowners’ Association for the purpose of insuring the attractiveness of entrances and any future impairment thereof, to prevent nuisances, and to preserve and protect the values and amenities of the property.

Glen Laurel HOA Board and Officers

The Glen Laurel HOA Board is comprised of a group of residents who have volunteered their personal time to help facilitate the development of a mandatory homeowner's association.

The Board is still urging folks to participate in the association, as well as participate on the Board and become an officer (President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer) to help manage and maintain the community common area (front entrance) and to help enforce the Deed of Restrictions.

The HOA Board has been networking and consulting with other nearby communities, local officials and the City of Charlotte to generate an interest within the community to start a Crime Watch Program, to pursue the Matching Grants Program for community enhancement projects, to help eliminate nuisances within the community, and to improve community spirit.
