FUNDRAISERS & CONCESSION STAND

FUNDRAISERS

As a non-profit team we use fundraising to pay for the coaches and the swimmers' awards, banquet, and other costs associated with the team. Our major fundraisers this year will be the Joe Corbi's Pizza Kits or the Grandma Corbi's Cookie Dough Tubs.

We require that all swimmers must participate in the fundraising as it is the main source of funding for our team. The pizza and cookie kits sell well and we have always had a positive experience with this company in the past.

This year parents will have the option of paying a non-participation fee of $50.00 per family if they do not wish to particpate in selling the pizza or cookie dough kits.

CONCESSION STAND

Our team runs a concession stand for all of our home meets. This helps us to generate money from the other teams and visitors while they're at our pool. The concession stand is organized and run by two of the swim team moms.

In past years we always had parents donate various items to sell for each meet. However we found that we often did not have a good variety or ample supplies of goods to turn a profit. Last year we tried a new system that worked wonderfully for us. We ask that each family pay $10.00 per home meet ($40.00 per family), instead of donating purchased goods each meet. We use these funds to stock the stand with the items that those who are running the stand know will sell and make us a good profit.

All proceeds from the concession stand go directly to fund the awards banquet for the swimmers at the end of the season. The better the concession stand does, the more we can do for the kids at the banquet.

Cash & Prize Drawings

In addition to the fundraisers and concession stand we also sell tickets for a 50/50 cash drawing at each home meet. The winner takes home half of the money collected and the other half goes to the team. We need a volunteer or two to walk around the deck to sell the tickets during the home meets.

In previous years we have also had items donated for raffles, such as gift baskets and summer fun accessories. Please let Beverly or Sue know if you would like to put together a gift basket (movie basket, body & bath basket, ice cream sundae basket, etc.), or donate item(s) for a raffle.
