I had inquired in an earlier post if there was an ordinance against pit bulls in Wyandotte. One person thought there was, others didin't know, so I wrote the mayor. He responded to me that there is NO ordinance against pit bulls in Wyandotte. All the owner has to do is hve a license for the dog and abide by the rules.

should be...

No ordinance, but there should be. Pit Bulls are ticking time bombs waiting to go off.

Please, don't give me the old adage that it is all how the dog is raised. That old song and dance is B.S. It is their innate behavior to kill, no matter how they are raised. Why do you think the dog has immense strength in it's jaws and extreme power in it's compact body, to fetch a squeaky toy? Don't think so.

We should have an ordinance banning them.

I did some research

on pit bulls as I am concerned too. What I found out is that if we ban pit bulls, the criminals who use them for their protection will just get another dog like an Akita or a Rottweiler. What was suggested was an ordinance against ''aggressive dogs'' of any breed, not just pit bulls.
