More than 180 Brookwood residents received a phone message reminding them of the upcoming Neighborhood Garage Sale during the week of May 11.

Tell us what you think about this service.

Our hope is that this will be a great way to communicate timely information as well as immediate safety issues.
The cost for reaching all residents is under $10.00 which seems quite reasonable.

If you did not receive a phone message, please forward your name, address and phone number to our email address so that we can update our neighbor database: bnatulsa@yahoo.com or call a BNA officer.

I think everyone is doing a great job keeping us informed as to what is happening in our neighborhood.  I have something I'd like to add.  This past tuesday night, like we have done before, We accidently left our garage door opened all night.

We ahve always felt very safe in our neighborhood, so didn't hink anything about it until we noticed the cars doors in the garage were not totally closed.  Someone had come into our garage, went through the things we had left in the cars.  At first we just found most things out of the glove box and cubby holes laying the the seats of our main car the Prius.

We thought the only thing that had been taken is a pair of leather gloves with rabbit lining that my dead father in law had given my husband.  We put things back and went on to work.  Later in the day, went to get our TU Football tickets

out of the glove compartment and discovered they were gone.  No problem, we just called the TU office and due to our being Season ticket holders, they just printed new ones for us.  Still thought we were very lucky, but yesterday during the Thanksgiving get together with our families, I needed my digital camera. I had put I into the car last saturday so I could go take Christmas pictures for some friends.  It, too, was missing.  The camera is no big deal, it can be replaced, other than it was mine and I did know how to use it.  the problem is that it had my vacation pictures on it. Something that I cannot replace.  I would appreciate it if, anyone finds it that I at least get the memory chip out of it, so I can have my vacation pictures.  Plus it was in the case, so it also had other memory chips in the case with more pictures.

As days go on, we may find other things missing, but right now feel very blessed, it could have been so much worse.  We know Tuesday night was a warning to us and plan to be more careful in the future.  We are sure it wqas probably just some kids because there were lots of "other" things that they could have taken, just sitting around in the garage...boxed and ready to go.

I can be reched at 633 1245, if anyone knows about this.  Again, all I would like to recover is the memory chips from the phone and the phone case.

Thank you and please be careful out there.
