Forest Meadows Neighborhood Association

I live on Millrdge Drive, I work out of my home and have been trying to get DSL service now for over two years. I know of others on Millridge that have also been trying to get DSL, but we are all told that we are to far away from SWBell's distribution area and that we will just have to wait for them to intall 'booster' terminals to get the service to us. They don't know when that will be and that we have old lines that will have to be replaced!

I don't think we are the only street with this problem, but I would like to know if we are.

I am tired of waiting! I have lived here since 1970 and do not understand why we cannot have the same services that others have in the newer areas of Dallas.

I am wondering how many neigbors in our area are in the same siuation and cannot get DSL and want it, and if we might have a better chance of getting SWBell to do something as a group or association instead of me fighting them by myself.

If I see that commercial one more time about how much money SWBell is spending to keep us with them, I am gonna puke!

Anybody else out there have this problem?

DSL

I checked into DSL a month ago and was told it would be available in our area by the end of the year. I live on Timberleaf Drive. Of course, what I was told and what may actually happen are two different things.

We could all make a weekly effort to call SWBell requesting DSL--whether you want it or not--to spring them into action over the dollar signs they see in hundreds of requests! Just a thought.

DSL

I just spoke with my X-husband who lives on Glen Springs and they just got DSL. I was excited to find out it was in the neighboorhood, so my husband checked online to see whether we could get it (we live on Heatherdale), and we are too far away and unable to get it also.
