Forest Meadows Neighborhood Association

The Tom Thumb at Abrams and Forest will be closing in the next two weeks. Dr. Tony Myer, local veterinarian, verified this rumor today. The pharmacist at the store told him that it was shutting down. This could make an impact on the neighborhood. It of course takes away a close neighborhood store for those who have used it for years. It may also cause a flight from the area apartments to apartments at Audelia and Greenville since so many of their residents walk to the store.

We talked to the lady at the dry cleaners and she said a Fiesta Maket is going into the Tom Thumb store. Who knows if that will be a good thing or not for our neighborhood.

Will It Stay Closed?

I just now signed up on website and am not sure exactly how to do this. Anyway, will the Tom Thumb continue to stay closed? It seems like a vacant lot could attract a lot of illicit activity. Last night there were about nine patrol cars in front with flashing lights and something going on. Also, what about the vacant old service station lot next door to it? Does anyone know?
