I have recently noticed that some inconsiderate individual(s) is allowing their dog(s) to use my front lawn as a litter box. There are at least a dozen ''piles'' in my yard right now. This is DISGUSTING!! Isn't there a ''rule'' that owners must pick up animal feces after their pets?? What can I do to stop this??? I read a copy of the neighborhood covenant and it says that I am not allowed to put up signs......????

I'm sorry to hear that owners are not being responsible. I have dogs and always carry "pick-up" bags.

I'm not sure what you can do unless you catch the owner with the dog. I wonder if encouraging our neighborhood to put up some of those posts that have the "mutt mits" like at Coop Park?

Just a thought!

This link is about policies at Parks and Recreation areas. I have the same problem with people who walk their dogs on a leash in my neighborhood and watch them poop on my lawn then go along their merry way without picking it up. If I see them, I confront them and ask them to pick it up but it would be nice to quote a city ordinance and/or threaten with a call to police.
