Skateboard Park

I am new to the neighborhood, but prior to the ramps being built I only saw young kids skating on the tanks. I am not blaming Village Homes, I just feel they contributed to the park by donating the materials. I was told by Tom Hoby of the Parks Department that one of the tanks was planned for a skateboard park and the other would be used for basketball and tennis. I asked if they would put the skateboard park on the east tank which would be further from the houses,he said it would be a consideration. A shelter and a parking lot are also under consideration for the area.

Best Intentions

We hope that everything has settled down concerning this issue, as we haven't had any contact or voiced concerns in almost a year. Please realize that Village Homes had nothing but the best intentions in providing what we hoped would be a recreational opportunity for the young people in our Highlands Ranch communities. We are sorry that it temporarily backfired, but will remain resolute to be involved in the areas in which we build, even if it sometimes means ''taking a chance.'' Thank you to all of you who understand and appreciate our that which we try to accomplish.
