Just to let everyone know, the homeowner's association is out of money and in the red. There are 2 outstanding bills currently owed: $29.16 for real estate taxes on the detention area which is owned by every homeowner in the sub-division and $25.00 fee for the continued existence of a non-profit organization (HHHA).
Also outstanding is $104 for the balance of the September mowing bill and $220 for the October mowing bill. These were both paid by a homeowner so the entrances, access lot and detention area (all homeowner responsible common areas) would be maintained.
A volunteer has come forth to help deliver invoices to all those homeowners who are still delinquent. There will be one last attempt made to obtain the dues owed by these homeowners in arrears. If that fails, the common areas owned by everyone in the sub-division will not be maintained. I have a list posted on our website showing those homeowners who have not paid their fees.
I guess it's up to them whether they want the community to have maintained entrances and avoid problems in the access lot and detention area due to weeds etc. that can attract insects, bugs, rats and trash. They should thank all the homeowners that have faithfully paid their dues since it has been their money that has paid for that all this time !!
The invoices will be delivered within the next couple weeks. I will let you know if our efforts were fruitful.

) and some people's backyard weeds / grass during the summer months (along roads where everyone can see) are bad enough without having to worry about the entrances looking awful too. I know you can only do so much and am very thankful for what you have done! I am just curious if anyone but a few people in this neighborhood are aware that this website exists and we can come on here to check our balance for the homeowners fee!? I actually found out about this website because my husband's friend lives in a different M/I Homes development and we were wondering what our trash pick-up days are with holiday changes. I did not know it existed other than from him. I hope I am not making anyone upset by what I have said here. Thank you for your continued dedication to our neighborhood!
