All,

Our last community (which was 12 times the size of Fallbrook) used FB for everything.   All the events were posted and you could respond on the event if  you planned on attending, etc.

It's super easy and works great if you use it correctly.    In addition, when someone makes a post, adds a pic, creates an event - you can get a notification on your cell phone - and even respond on your cell phone.

I'm more than happy to help anyone with the FOF page.

You can add docs, photos, albums from events, events (like pool reservations).  All of this is under the cover photo on the ribbon.

Just a thought, rather than having multiple ways to share information - I think the FB page can do it all.   Our last community relied on it for everything with no problems at all.

Dario and I just thought of another option. Our vacation property is in a neighborhood which uses this website, and for the five years we have used it, there have been no problems. The HOA can share calendars, note events, members can personalize profiles, each neighborhood gets its own homesite, there are many levels of access for enhanced security, unlimited member registrations, and they also provide tech support and design assistance. Initial cost ranges from 50 to 200 dollars...below is a link with details... http://www.hoa-sites.com/plans.php

I agree I think we should try Facebook out as most people already have an account there, and if someone doesn't they would have to get a new account with whichever site we go with.

I disagree, and I think many homeowners like me...do not and will not use Facebook, for a plethora of reasons. If we cannot find a better electronic option, I would move we eliminate online support/websites from our budget and simply use a monthly newsletter in residents mailboxes or placed at the clubhouse.

I think you are in the minority.

Most people use/love facebook because it's so easy and well organized.  Give it a try.
