Yesterday (Friday) I had 2 white, late 20-30ish yr old men come to my door in the early afternoon to sell a cleaning product. After the incident on Vintage Drive last week I'm very weary to open the door during the day. I am a stay at home mom with a toddler...and not so tough dog. I didn't want to answer the door but I also wanted them to know someone was home. I did answer the door to thank them but refuse their product. Anyway, I called the cops to let them know. I don't want to be paranoid but I also want our neighborhood to be safe. The dispatcher said she would send a car to check up on them. I'm sure these men were fine but I thought I would share this on our website so everyone can be aware.

Thanks for the heads up! We do get a lot of salespeople coming through our neighborhood. I'm definitely going to be more suspicious than I used to be, but I don't think that's a bad thing. :) |

And apparently most of them cannot read. I have a very prominent NO SOLICITING sign right net to the doorbell and yet they ring it anyway. Amazing. One salesman told me he saw the sign but he also saw my "welcome" mat so he figured it was ok to knock. I told him - with a tired smile on my face - that the welcome mat was for my friends and the No Soliciting sign was for him. I bet they taught him that "line" in door-to-door school. |

Sorry about Skippy! He will be missed.
Thanks for signing in. See you around the neighborhood! |
