Escondido Hills Homeowners

Pending Revisions to HOA Rules & Regulations

Posted in: Escondido Hills
Dear Escondido Hills Neighbor & Homeowner:

In September you received a letter from the Escondido Hills HOA & Board about the “recently revised and updated” Rules & Regulations, and plans to vote on those Rules at the October board meeting.

We found many of these rules –and their associated fines – to be extremely restrictive and subjective. We also felt the Board was hasty in trying to approve them.without more input from the homeowners. Alex collected signatures on a petition asking the Board to delay this vote until the upcoming November meeting, and they reluctantly agreed……BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP.

We intend to ask for time at the November meeting, and bring as many signatures as we can on a NEW petition, asking that this issue be delayed at least 3 months or more. This would allow more homeowners time to evaluate what changes, if any, are needed, and allow us to discuss as a group how to best bring our suggestions to the Board.

Please join us by appearing at the next meeting, and/or by signing the new petition to delay this issue to allow for further discussion.

About the meeting:

The next Escondido Hills HOA/Board meeting is Wednesday, November 11 at 6:30pm, at the Escondido Country Club.

· If you plan to attend the meeting, please be aware that the HOA Board can easily shut us down if our group appears to be disruptive! Each person in attendance needs to commit to letting Alex be the main speaker, and refrain from outbursts.

· Many of us have issues with the HOA besides these Rules. Our intent is to organize as a group and address everyone’s issues over time. But our immediate focus is to delay implementation of these Rules & their associated fines.

About the petition and the issues:

· We will be contacting you by going door to door with the petition over the next week, and would appreciate you taking the time to speak with us and to sign.

· If you need another copy of the letter containing the revisions to the Rules & Regulations, please email Nancy at bobthebuilderswife@gmail.com.

We live in a great neighborhood.....and while we believe the HOA and Board have good intentions, we intend to keep as much of our personal freedoms pertaining to our own property as we can!

Thanks very much for your support!
