Robbery on Old Ware Rd?
I heard about it on the news last night and then found the following on the WSFA website:

''Police are looking for a group of men suspected of car-borne robberies. Sheriff Bill Franklin says one man realized two cars were trying to box him in on Dogwood Drive last night, and reacted quickly enough to get away from a possible crime. Then a woman called officers saying four or five suspects blocked her way on old ware road, held her at gunpoint and took her purse. Deputies have a photo of the car and are trying to track the suspects down.''

Did this really happen? Does anybody know any more details? I'm not saying it didn't happen but if it did, it's scary that is was that close and we all need to be alot more observant.

Robbery on Old Ware Road

Here is what I know about the robbery:

On January 15 unknown individuals in a car tried to flag down another vehicle on Emerald Mountain Parkway in the Dogwood Meadows area.  The driver grew suspicious and pulled away.  Shortly thereafter suspects blocked the road at the intersection of Mitchell Creek and Old Ware Road (down from the Fire Station) and, when the driver stopped, she was robbed.

Scary

Very scary!

Very scary indeed! Did the suspects know the woman? How did they know she was going to turn right on Old Ware and block the intersection at Mitchell Creek instead of her turning left? Unless they have been following her for a few days and knew that's where she goes.
