Vending trucks are now camping out close to our neighborhood boundaries. Just drive north on Jackson from Walmart and you will probably see several trucks on Jackson and Camille streets. Should the city continue to charge only $128.00 a year for vending truck business licenses? Should not the city charge at least $1,200.00 a year for the privilege of using our city streets for their business activities?

Increased licenses fees

Vending trucks take unfair advantage of many loopholes this among them. Every ''brick and mortar'' business should be up in arms about the unfair advantage that these vendors take. They should be subject to the same types of laws that other similar stores would have too. I think about the only exceptions should be industrial catering trucks. and they have a huge set of rules in most cities.

Vending trucks should just be removed from residential areas for the following reasons:

*They are an eyesoar and bring property values down.

*They should be against zoning regulations since after all the places in which they park their vehicles are in residential areas.

*Even though they are "Vending Trucks" most of them are parked in the same spot all day.

*Most of the products they sell are junk food and make it more accessible to children.
