Neighborhood Meeting Minutes

March 13, 2000

Meeting was called to order by Ruben Robledo, Vice-President as the President is ill as he was injured in an automobile accident recently. Our prayers are that he gets well soon.

The meeting is being held at La Plaza Mexican Restaurant as Edison High School is closed due to Spring Break.

Vice-President welcomed our new member. Mr. Gomez indicated that he is willing to help out in anyway he can. Treasurer's report indicated a balance of $267.13.

Tom Culbertson addressed the membership regarding water issues.

Mike De Leon addressed the membership regarding Cellular on Patrol, i.e., need more members in order to complete the minimum requirement of 10 members in order to receive a free cellular phone from Southwestern Bell

The membership agreed to participate in the next Garage Sale held at Edison High School on Saturday, April 1st. This time it is being sponsored by the Junior Class. Reminded the membership to begin accumulating any contributions they might have to donate to the association for resale. At the last Garage Sale, the association made $120.

Reminded the membership to continue to collect aluminum cans for our next aluminum can drive.

Information was passed out to the membership regarding the May 6th election on river issues, economic development, etc. Edison High School is having a free Health Fair on April 7th in the morning. We urge everyone to take advantage of this free service to our community.

Next meeting is to be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2000 at 6:30 p.m. at Edison High School's cafeteria.
