About our association

The Eden Isle Neighborhood Association was established many years ago to foster the bond among the residents of Eden Isle. The association has provided many valuable services over the years as well as initiated numberous enjoyable activities for the home owners.

Many activities take place on an annual basis and here are just a few:

During the spring the association sponsors a garage sale in the morning for any and all resident who want to put out their valuables. In the afternoon an open house and cook out provide plenty of opportunity for neighbors to brag about how much they made selling their treasures. (It is estimated that about 50% of all items sold never actually leave the island and are really just exchanged between neighbors.) During the party a section of the street is closed off to allow the children to roam freely and ride their bikes or skateboards in a safe environment.

During October a meeting is held to update neighbors on current events as well as elect new officers for the Association. This meeting is always held in someones home with refreshments and good spirit provided for all.

On October 31st, a cook out is provided to allow the neighborhood children to show off their creative costumes and get ready for a night of door to door canvassing for candy treats.

News letters go out three or four times per year to inform residents as to the various events and activities of the Island. Also a directory is kept updated as to the names of all residents and their telephone numbers.

Certainly one of the highlight events each year is the annual Christmas party. This party is usually held at the St. Petersburg Yacht club and is always well attended and enjoyed.

Numerous other activities take place throughout the year on Eden Isle.
