Beginning in the spring of this year, the crime watch and Neighbors organization
joined together to grow a Comunity Garden. We did our homework on setting up
correctly and decided on raised beds for each garden plot. Eventually all the ground work was done and plainting began. We had well water to water with and it really produced a lot of food which was distributed to needy and elderly citizens in our area.
Now a fall garden has been planted and it is going great. Many greens and squash are
producing and being given at our meetings. This small garden area has been an asset to our community.
