Minutes of Meeting - January 10, 2002

The meeting called to order at 7:30 PM by Chairman Dave Oliva.

Minutes of the meeting of 08 November 2001 were approved as amended.

Treasurer's Report: $2345.31-------CD
$3840.08-------Regular account

Membership Committee: 13 new members joined the Association. The Committee will be sending out another membership mailing.

The Braintree Charter Study Committee gave a presentation to the membership on the need and benefits of the Town of Braintree to vote for a Charter Committee to study the structure of Braintree town government.

Mike Lang, Chairman of the Braintree Mitigation Committee, updated the membership on the status of the Greenbush line.

Chairman Dave Oliva announced that he is appointing a study committee to study criteria for awarding the Cindy Morrissey Scholarships. This committee will report back to the membership with their recommendations.

Candidates Night will be Thursday, 14 March 2002.

Mary Haggen from the Watson Park Library Study Committee gave an update. She emphasized it is important to give your ideas on the possible use of the Watson Park Branch Library to members of the committee.

The meeting adjourned at 9:24 PM.
