Do you know anything about the ecological make-up of our community?

Where does out drinking water come from? Where are the springs that feed the river located? Are there really underground caves & caverns in Florida? Why is the Sulphur Springs pool and fresh water spring beach closed? How did it get comtaminated? Will the contamination eventually go away? Are there any other springs in our area?

Why is the street flooding so severe in Forest Hills after a simple summer rain? What can be done about it?

The Blue Sinks are located on the north side of 109th Avenue, between Florida Avenue and North Boulevard. Formerly a wildlife habitat, they are now contaminated. Can they be resurrected and returned to a wildlife habitat? Imagine the possibilities . . .

Isn't that part of Curiosty Creek (which disappears under the Interstate? If it is, you have bigger pollution problems coming from upstream.

Yes, it is. Check out the 2 articles that I sent to you; I believe a lot of the issues can be at least made better by following the recommendations of the geo-hydrologist who penned the research on this.

We never should have turned a blind eye to any of this. We should have known the earth couldn't sustain pollution forever.

It's a cool wetland. I'd love to see it preserved. But like all things in Tampa, we're so far behind all other cites.
