Hello, Dundee Hills residents:

I am seeking information about the house I lived in for the first 7 years of my life.  My father bought the house new in 1940.  It was on a corner lot next to Old Pike Road.  That road may have a different name now.  Our last name was Nelson and the Troeglens lived across from us.   There was a vacant field on the other side of Old Pike Road.  I do not recall the street name for our house.  From Old Pike Road I believe our street was a block long.  It then branched out right and left.  I caught the bus to McElroy Dagg Elementary School.  We often drove to Liberty but I cannot recall the name of the highway that took us there.  I am having trouble locating the neighborhood from memory, online.

I am wondering if anyone has access to old plat maps or to old archives that would enable me to identify the location of the house today.  I don't know if it is still there or has been torn down.  On the other side of the highway was Crestview where some friends lived.  This is all sketchy information for finding a home that was built in 1940, but I hope somehow someone will be able to help or point me in the right direction.  Even the name of the street would help.  Thank you.
