VEHICLE BREAK-IN

Posted in: Kesslebrooke Station
Dear Neighbor,

The HOA was informed this morning (04/10/07) that a homeowner's vehicle was broken into between 8:00 and 9:30 PM last evening on the south end of Tabilore Loop while it was parked in the driveway. The window was broken and several items of value were stolen. While the break-in was reported to the police, we are providing this notice so you can protect your property accordingly and to ask that if anyone has any information about this incident, to please come forward and talk to the authorities. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first such incident to have occurred in our neighborhood and we hope that it will also be the last. A few words of sound advice on this topic that may be able to help avoid repeat occurrences are:

?· Keep your car locked at all times

?· Make sure that you never leave any items of value in plain view within your vehicle so that there is less incentive for a criminal to target your vehicle.

?· If at all possible, clear enough space to park your vehicle inside the garage

?· If you have to park your vehicle in the driveway instead of inside the garage, turn on the light over your garage each evening or replace the existing one with a light and/or motion sensing one to help deter prowlers by keeping the area brightly illuminated.

?· Be aware of what is going on around the neighborhood and report any suspicious individuals or behavior to the authorities - it is better to be proactive than reactive.

Thanks
