BASKETBALL COURTS!!!! 9/21

Posted in: Ivey Chase
Hey Everyone,

I know that some of you have not turned in your basketball surveys and I urge you to do so promptly! With that being said, I want to share a conversation that I had with a community manager that manages Hamilton Mill and many other subs. The gentleman says that the only way to solve ALL of the BASKETBALL problems is ONE of two ways, 1. Hire a police officer or 2. Get rid of them. He says that all other subdivisions have taken them out because it took away the lottering, drugs, alcohol, and sexual misconduct.
I myself (my personal opinion) for the longest time felt we should keep them, but after talking to him and knowing IVEY CHASE cannot afford to hire a police officer, I am changing my vote to remove them!
Again, I urge all of you to GET THE SURVEY turned in and start taking ACTION for the better of our neighborhood! The reason alot of us chose IVEY CHASE was because of it's beauty. So let's keep it that way by working together as good neighbors should! Thank you for reading my thoughts!

courts

Hamilton mill stills has their court and I have never seen a police office hanging out there. their courts are even more visible from the main road then ours. I thought we were going to limit the participants using it to having wristbands or something? The problem is how many friends can someone have at the courts at a time. Last time I was up there and talked with the cop sitting there, maybe only a few people lived here but they had loads of friends there.

Courts

There is one glaring point about the Hamilton Mill courts. They aren't surrounded by homes. They are in an area for just recreation. So the home owners aren't hearing them (cuss & yell) and can't always see what they are doing there at night. It's pretty far from the road. I think it's safe to say, something the whole community can use, would be better. I don't think the courts being gone would drastically reduce anyone's home value.
