Did you know that the empty commercial building at 1490 N. ?“D?” Street is in the process of being reviewed by the Development Review Committee to become a 67-bed Residential Care Facility?
Wondering who would be your neighbors? The developer of this project is not releasing the information of who would be the patients at this ?“Residential Care Facility?”. Also, the developer is not working with the Development Services department to provide a ?“Security Management Plan?”.
The only information that has been provided so far is that this facility will house adults from the ages of 18-60, and will be an UNLOCKED facility.
Do you have more questions about this proposed facility?
The DMV and SBHS Neighborhood Associations are hosting a public forum with the owner and developer of this project on Tuesday, April 3rd at 6:30PM at St. John?’s Episcopal Church located at 1407 N. Arrowhead Street.
This project will come before the Planning Commission at a later date that will be posted on this website.
If you want to help stop this proposed ?“Residential Care Facility?” from being in our neighborhood, call or write Dennis Baxter, our City Councilman, and Development Services at the addresses listed below. When writing please reference Conditional Use Permit: 06-42.
