Cully Association of Neighbors

My husband and I just moved to the neighborhood. Last night our car was broken into and a bunch of stuff was stolen including all the christmas gifts received by a visiting friend. It happened between 8:15 and 9:15 pm. We were home. Some stuff was found at the Dreams and Memories dumpster. Has anyone else experienced robbery or burglary lately?

YES!!!!

I had my purse stolen from a shopping cart in the Albertsons in November & my car broken into, they jimmied the lock, at the same Albertsons in early December. They got a stereo, a cd changer, (& due to me being trusting) over 200 cd's and a bag of brand new clothes from NIKE outlet that I just paid $280 for. My credit card insurance covered the clothing I had just purchased, but my car insurance only covered my cars basic stereo system and the broken lock.

My neighbors have also had several UPS or FED EX (can't remeber which) packages stolen from their porch. Now the driver will no longer leave packages on the porch. I live on Campaign.

I guess Holiday Cheer has been lost to many in this neighborhood.

Regrets

I deeply regret buying a house in this cesspool of a neighborhood. I am selling as soon as spring hits. I have too many numerous complaints to even begin to list. Needless to say, don't buy a house in this neighborhood, rent first, on a month to month lease so you can escape quickly!

crime

We already bought the house. And are still excited about the potential of the neighborhood. The CAN meetings are a great forum, and the people seem like good folks. I'm hoping what happened to us was an anomoly. I'll take the advice though and not have any stuff delivered to our porch. It's dissapointing, but I haven't given up on the area.
