don't trash my trash can

It doesn't matter to me who picks up the trash in Farley. It does matter that my trash cans are trashed by these people. They also throw my cans in the middle of my driveway so I can't leave without moving them. If I had an emergency it would be unforgivable. Let's get a company that shows some respect for the people they are working for.

   I think we need to get our laison with the mayor to try to get the trash service (Republic)  not Rays to 1, keep cans out of street, to avoid skidding on hills, any thing else?

This is still happening off and on, by the way, and here is why.  Every time I see them on Friday mornings, there is one person in the truck.  As the truck rolls up to your address, the driver jumps out of the truck and hits a delayed air brake the allows the truck to keep rolling for a couple of seconds before it locks up.  By the time the truck comes to a stop, the driver is already standing beside the trash cans and is ready to empty your cans into the truck.  The driver then tosses your can back into your yard and is back in the truck by the time your can hits the ground and the wheels break off.

 

I don't blame the driver because he does not control staffing or the number of addresses he required to service per day. That doesn't negate my anger over the series of busted trash cans, doesn't change the fact that it is illegal for the operator to leave the vehicle when it is still moving, and won't change the disaster that occurs when the operator doesn't get that delayed brake fully pulled or it fails, and the truck becomes an 18 ton driverless battering ram.
