Vandalism

Posted in: Boyette Springs
I have recently moved to Boyette Oaks 2 months ago and twice now my girlfriends car has once been egged and just today the air in her passenger rear tire was let out. I thios a problem in this neighborhood and is anyone else experiencing this kind of behavior? I would to know if there is something we can do without involving the police.

Times are bad now. The country is in a mess, people are losing their jobs. We that have anything of value are finding it hard to keep. I would suggest going to X10.com and reading up and get the lateset in video security. They have motion sensors that will start your vcr of DVD recorder to record an incident using a camera installed. Camera are cheap at $79 or so the last time I bought. I put one up over the driveway with a cheap color monitor and would watch the kids kick balls into my cars while I'm watching tv and then have to get up and run out and give them a lecture to play somewhere else. The foolishness soon stopped. I was the neighborhood babsitter where these kid's parents would never come outside and the kids did whatever they wanted. I had a vinyl pool on my back patio slab that was destroyed by these kids when they first moved in across the street. I confronted them but they blamed the kids on the other street of course. Then one day I woke up to find I had low water pressure when about to shower. I went outside to find both side water spigots wide open. I had a huge water bill that month to say the least. I took the handles off the faucets and it never happened again. Then they turned the valve off on my sprinkler system. I didn't pay enough attention to my yard then and it dried up and died, losing the investment I had put into a newly sodded yard. Pay attention early or you will lose much more. Don't hesitate. Let them know you have a video camera on them, they will go somewhere else. Good luck.
