Crestview Homes Association

Legally Disband Crestview Homes Association

Posted in: Crestview Homes

Crestview Homes Association is, for all intents and purposes, an unnecessary, worthless and antiquated entity, made so by not only their annexation by Kansas City, but also by the passage of time.

Many of the Bylaws to which homeowners and the association are to be held accountable are either without merit or wholly do not apply. A few examples follows:

Snow Removal for Streets and Sidewalks: This is not taken care of by Crestview Homes Association, as Kansas City roads crews are responsible for roadways within the confines of our community, and our public sidewalks are not only limited, but are again the responsibility of Kansas City.

Construct, Maintain and Develop Sewers: Unless Crestview Homes Association is making a mountainous donation to the city of Kansas City, this is not something that has been or will be followed.

To provide at suitable locations, receptacles for the collection of rubbish and for the disposal of such rubbish so collected: This is to be a permanent fixture, and is not to be swept under the rug as encompassed by an annual Neighborhood Cleanup. This is of particular note now that Kansas City has tightened restrictions on trash pickup, and no longer maintains bulky item pickup routes.

Provide maintenance and lighting to tennis courts, parks, gateways, drinking fountains, parks...where are these things? They don't exist, so there's no maintenance.

Crestview Homes Association exists as a shell of its former self, when it may have actually been of some use to residents of the Crestview Subdivision. This time has long since passed, and I believe it's in the best interest of all residents of the Crestview to band together in order to disband the Crestview Homes Association.

Legally, in Missouri it takes a 2/3 majority of all ATTENDING MEMBERS of Homeowners Association voting yes in order to disband said Homeowners Association. Folks, it's as simple as this:

1. A homeowner makes a motion to legally disband Crestview Homes Association. You simply stand up and say, "I move to legally disband Crestview Homes Association."

2. A second homeowner stands up and says, "I second the previous motion to disband Crestview Homes Association."

3. The presiding board member (usually the president) is required to put this to a vote.

4. All in favor, Aye!

5. You stop flushing $15 (potentially $30 soon) down the proverbial toilet each year.

I agree, please let me know how we can makes the legal motion to disband them

I hope that this did not pass, there is nothing more stronger then a community who bands together, as for what park, how about the neighborhood park that the teenagers decided to spray paint right after it was new several years ago back in 2004-05 (I turned them over to the police when it happened).
