LOL.... you're absolutely right. It's funny how we tend to assume things about posters we've never met (gender, etc.)
We CVELGers joke about wearing those plastic glasses with the big nose and mustache connected and tan trench coats whenever we go into Broomfield. So if you see any one like that - it's probably one of us. Maybe we'll show up like that this evening.

Open House
I attended the NW Pkwy Open House. DV and I accidentally arrived at the same time so I had someone to talk to (Joan - were you there?).
They provided some reading material to take home that I haven't read yet. The walls were covered with maps showing the proposed route and then different aspects of the project (areas of environmental studies, Dillon Road Interchange options, I25 Interchange options, elevation views of the arterial roads etc., mapping sound affects, etc.).
The NW pkwy, as they showed it, goes from Hwy 36 up to I25. I did ask one gentleman about proposed hwy south of Hwy 36 and he basically said it hadn't been worked out.
They had one spot on the wall for the public to write comments on cards and post them. It was interesting to read them and I did actually leave one asking why they don't just improve existing roadways instead of gobbling up existing open space. DV left one a bit more radical.
All in all, it was interesting - but not real exciting. (I WAS happy to see that there were cookies because I was STARVING)

Task Force
CP e-mailed me the article in the Broomfield News listing the 13 task force members (Thanks CP - you're great !!!). Making some loose assumptions (like: they will each spend 1/2 time on the task force, that the task force is in place for the next 2 years, and that they each cost about what most gov employees cost the gov) I'm guessing the state will be spending 1 to 2 million dollars on this. I suppose that's a drop in the state fiscal bucket. I don't know - what do you all think?
