RTD NEIGHBORHOOD PASS PROGRAM

Mar 17, 1999

What is the RTD Neighborhood Pass?
It?’s a deeply discounted annual pass purchased by a
neighborhood organization for all members of participating
households. This photo ID pass entitles residents to one year of unlimited travel on all RTD Local, Express, Regional, and Light Rail routes, plus unlimited skyRide service to Denver International Airport.
How does the program work?
It?’s simple. Once a community organization concludes their Neighborhood Pass agreement with RTD, eligible residents are issued individual photo passes. RTD will schedule photo sessions at your site. Then, when residents ride the bus, they just show their Neighborhood Pass ID to the driver and take a seat. It?’s that easy.
How much does it cost?
RTD charges a yearly fee per housing unit, using a neighborhood pricing formula that reflects the number of eligible housing units, population, amount of transit and other factors. A minimum of 100 residential units or a $9000 contract minimum is required to initiate a Neighborhood Pass contract, whichever computed dollar is greater. RTD?’s quoted price is per residential block.*
For example, if 100 households sign up the price is $90.00 per household per year. All household members are covered for the $90.00. If only 50 households sign up the per-household price would be $180.00 (still an incredible price) and so on.
