No New Break- Ins!

Mar 31, 2009

Good news everyone, there have been no new break ins to my knowledge. Now, let's not get lax, we need to stay vigilant to prevent the problem from returning. We are not out of the woods yet! I see that a lot of you have had alarms installed. I think the number of alarm signs has doubled in the past couple of weeks. Thats great, but we need to still be on the lookout and watch for suspicious activity. If you have not had an alarm installed, it's great way to add an extra layer of protection to your home and it's really not that expensive. There are a lot of reputable companies to choose from and they can all be contacted on-line through their websites. In case you need some suggestions, you can try Scott Alarm, Safe Touch, Brinks, ADT or APX.

As I am sure many of you know, there was a situation this weekend regarding a party at the pool and some related parking issues. Please be courteous and respectful of your neighbors. Keep noise to a minimum when using the common areas and remember that you cannot reserve exclusive use of the pool for yourself, you must allow the community to use the pool during your event. As of right now, there is no method to reserve the cabana area but a reservation system is being considered. Also, due to continued parking issues, there may be increased enforcement of the community parking rules. This means towing. Please do not park on the grass, in the road, in unoccupied unit's spaces, along any curbs, in handicapped spaces unless you have a permit, or anywhere else that violates the condo rules, damages the property or impedes traffic. According to our condo rules, each unit is permitted up to two vehicles, one must be parked in the garage and the other in the driveway. All other parking spaces are for guest use only. If you have guests coming over and you find that all the guest spaces near your unit are full, please direct your guests to the open lot across the street from the gate.

Hopefully I will have an update about the gate and the possible JSO courtesy officer for you next week. Remember, there is a ShAdCo meeting on Monday April 6th and our next Neighborhood Watch Meeting is on Sunday April 19th.
