I fabricated and installed these window well guards on a stone house in Westover Hills on Route #52 in Wilmington, Delaware this summer. My work can be viewed at my web site,www.graydiewelding.com. I live in Dover but travel north every weekend to install what I fabricated during the week. If you are ever in need of any functional garden art , handrails or window guards give me a call.

I had a bad experience with G Fedale Roofing.  The estimate was to replace and paint the 9 foot roof on my dormer.  The work they performed was to replace the roof paper and patch a hole.  I could see what appeared to be hardened glue dripping through the holes in the plywood roof.  I called to inform the office the work was incomplete.  They sent a crew for a second visit.  They cut out the 12 inch wide rotted portion and replaced the ply wood and roof paper.  They spray painted the wood.  No invoice was sent.  However, they sent a late notice informing me payment was over due and they would charge interest.  I called the office upon receipt of the warning notice and sent a letter documenting the discepancies between the estimate and the work.  I received a visit during which I explained (again) the services rendered were not what was described on the invoice.  The G Fedale representative became irate and yelled during which he threatened to send the matter to a collection agency and attach 23% interest.  I found the work to be poor quality and behavior unprofessional.

I had a bad experience with G. Fedale as well.  They did not properly diagnose a problem I had with a gutter and just slapped them up there.  I ended up going with a smaller contractor. It felt like my small job didn't matter.

I recall a message about referrals for CSTNA members looking for reliable contractors or maybe a database for them. We have had work done that we are very happy with and would like to share the name and contact information for the contractor. She is local, a woman running what has been thought of as a man's profession, but most of all she is reasonable in price, reliable, and willing to work with you on what you could do and what you need her company to do. Her estimates are sent in a clear spreadsheet via email.

I'd be interested in getting in touch w/ this contractor if possible. Thanks for the post!
