CEC ASSOCIATION DISSOLVED!

May 13, 2003

The CEC Association met at noon on May 13, 2003 in the staff lounge. Present were President Mark Hayden, Treasurer Ray Kidd, Secretary Naomi Garcia and members Mabel Duncan, Ellen Herring, Lawrence Moten, and Glenn Wilkerson.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

Mabel Duncan gave a summary of the meeting of the last CTA chapter meeting of the semester and passed out a payroll deduction form for those who wished to support future CTA efforts. She said she would most likely represent non-credit for the next negotiations and that Danny Hamman would be involved in the negotiations as well.

It was stated by Mark Hayden that since no one has stepped forth to take over as President of the CEC Association, there was little else to do but to declare the dissolution of the Association and disperse the treasury. He noted that Ellen Herring stated she was willing to be secretary.

Ray Kidd moved to have the remaining funds transfered to Dr. Crayton where they would be earmarked for the CEC marquee project that has apparently received approval, but is placed on hold for now. The motion was seconded by Ellen Herring and carried unaminously.

Mark Hayden officially dissolved the CEC Associtaion and thanked everyone for their participation and noted that the censureship of the CEC Association by the PCC administration earlier in the year had contributed to its downfall.

The meeting was adjourned at 12:34 pm
