The Ultimate value of the Association

Sometimes the success of our efforts to promote understanding, collegiality, and progress within our profession may not be evident at first. But after reading the following letter, you may agree that the Association was in the right place and time for one of our fellow teachers. All the efforts were well worth the time and energy to me.

"Dear Mark Hayden,

I want to thank you and the CEC Faculty Association for the $200 gift. It comes at a great time as I await disability payments.

I am having an operation for the diverticulitis this May 28th and if all goes well I should return to CEC this fall. Dr. Crayton says there is a place for me. I hope to see you then. Thank you so much. Your hard work and devotion to the Association is truly appreciated by me and of our colleagues. Thanks again for your consideration."

I wish Mike God speed in his recovery and look forward to his return to teaching at CEC.
