Commodore Estates II Maintenance Corporation

October 2009 - Community Headline News

The following are some are high level items of concern for our neighborhood:

Break Ins

There have been several break ins and people looking in windows.  Please report suspicious activities and persons to the police.

Trespassing

There have been several complaints about a group of teenagers comprised of boys and girls that are cutting through peoples' property, hanging out on street corners, and walking/standing in the street and not moving when asked.  Please make sure you talk with your kids about respecting others property.

Crossing Rt 13

There have been sightings and reports of teenagers from Commodore I and II crossing Rt 13 to go over to Happy Harry's.  This is very dangerous and please do not allow you children to cross that dangerous road.

Street Lights

The discussion of street lights is upon us once again due to security concerns.  I have been in touch with DP&L, NCC, and Cathcart's office.  During some research, it was discovered that our community does not have the infrastructure for street lights.  I know there are some read poles, but the DP&L engineer could not explain why there are here and why they are placed "randomly".  In order to try to eliminate some confusion, I worked with all necessary folks to come up with a workable plan and placement for street lights.  This is all dependent up[on a 51% majority vote in favor of lights.   The plan and costs will be presented at our meeting.

Development Signage

I must thank Dick Cathcart for providing us the money to enhance our signage on both entrances.  In case people are wondering, the wind did blow the new signs off the poles.  I have already notified the company and they are working on a fix since this sign design was new based on DelDot standards.

Trees

There are two trees on Old Stage Coach road that will need to be replaced, one died and the other was snapped in half by the wind.  We will coordinate getting these replaced.

Dues

Dues will be collected from now through November.  The amount is $125.  Please pay on time to our Secretary so that we do not have to spend time and money sending certified letters and making numerous phone calls.
