I agree with everyone! The HOA is awful, not only for the fact that they get more expensive every year but don't do any extra work around the area for the extra money we pay, but because of their "rules." I haven't gotten a large bill like some of you have already, but it seems that they are trying very hard. I have been in a dispute with the VP of the HOA for almost 2 years now because they are trying to make me pay for a violation that we didn't do. But no matter what I've done or said, they are still billing us monthly and now I just received a letter in the mail that if I don't pay in 30 days they are putting a lien on my house. I'm thinking to just pay the fine because I can't afford to pay a huge dollar amount and I really can't afford to lose my house, but I don't feel I should have to pay for something I didn't do. If I could have read these messages prior to moving to the area... I would have looked somewhere else that's for sure. I don't recommend anyone move to this area if they want to be happy.

Ok, I am one that has found a house of interest in this area and you folks are talking me right out of buying it! But please tell me if anyone knows if Custer Avenue is on the
"established" Eastern Stroh Ranch side of the Manzanita side of the 'hood???

I just served on the Board of my HOA until I got a contract on my home and I can tell you that your house had to be practically falling down before you'd get any letter in my 'hood which is the intended purpose of an HOA, isn't it really? These NAZI HOA's simply cause a lot of unnecessary litigation and bad blood. Too bad!

I hope that this house that I have my eyes on is on the Eastern Side of the hood (fingers crossed). If not, I'll be looking elsewhere...

I wrote a message recently about how the HOA is inconsistent with the people living in the community (I was the one that had to leave my home because they made my life miserable). I have a home in a cul-de-sac. The lady at the end of the street constantly calls in people for violations in our area. In the mean time, the lady constantly has violations of her own. She lets her daycare kids run wild and ruin other people's properly. I really wish that everyone would ban together and stop paying the HOA fees. What are the fees being used for?? To write us up for violations, trash, mowing of common area, and TO HIRE A SECURITY COMPANY TO WRITE PEOPLE UP FOR PARKING VIOLATIONS. Yes..... your hard earned money is being used against you. They charge you to fine you. I thought that our money was used to upkeep the activity center (pool), but people from other communities are allowed to hold special events there in the mornings.

I am sick and tired of the GOD attitude of PCMS. They need to be fired ASAP. Nothing is going to change the way they operate until members of the community stick up for themselves and stop PCMS from walking all over everyone. The reason that they constantly fine people is because they are trying to save their jobs. They have to show our HOA that they are needed. IT WILL ONLY CONTINUE TO GET WORSE. People don't understand....... EVEN IF WE LIVED IN AN ABSOLUTELY PERFECT NEIGHBORHOOD THEY WOULD STILL HAVE TO FIND THINGS WRONG OR INVENT THINGS TO ENSURE THAT THEY NEEDED.

I don't believe that it matters whether you live on the east side or the west side. They do let people on the west side get away with alot more. Someone on the west side was allowed to landscape their yard with no grass while I was not allowed the same courtsey. Eventually.... the living hell that people must endure will leak over to the west side. It is impossible for them to place restrictions on one group and not the other.

Please keep up the chatter and let people know what is going on. I don't see how it is legal what these people are getting away with.

I also felt that they drove me from my home. I could not live in an area where I felt there was so much hostility. When you buy your first home with you spouse, it should be a happy event. Stroh Ranch HOA made our lives miserable. We rented out our house.. because of the housing market... and they continue to make our lives miserable. We have seriously considered letting our house foreclose.
