Seems nothing changes but the days on the calendar. I recieved a newsletter after what, a year or more? I lost track and thought I'd never see another one. First, let me critique this newsletter. As I started reading the first page I notice that the article starts off in the middle of a sentence. The first word is lower case and I realize something is missing. Who the hell proof reads or didn't I should say, the newsletter before they give the word to print and send it out. I am just so ashamed at the lack of interest in the board and have been since I resigned years ago. The women that took it over made it a coffee klatch thing and they made things simple for themselves by hiring Clara to do all of their work. Those two ladies that put up a brick wall against me that caused me to resign have now long since gone. Both have moved out of the neighborhood.

Diane walked away from her house years ago and it looks like a haunted house if you pass by it on Sagebrush. I put up a new link with a county code enforement document you might be interested to see. The county seems to be lacking any ideas and now a budget constraint to do anything about this eyesore. I feel for the neighbors who live nearby and only wish I could really them to somehow take things into our own hands with this mess.

Back to that newsletter. The front page is all about Clara. She goes on to say how there was mulch added to the common grounds. Yay! Why the hell couldn't the board or Clara just have replaced the hedge bushes that over the years slowly dryed up and dissapeared? One day there will be no more hedge and I guess there will just be those little spots of mulch beds. Seems a bit much to have to maintain an irrigation system for doesn't it?

You see, I am still pissed that the board members can't get more involved with Mary Mahoney at the county budget department and learn how the yearly procedure works and just do it. Why do we still have to pay 20% of our annual dues for a CPA to do the work of two or three people that should be doing it? Hell, I used to do it all and I enjoyed it. That was when I was Treasurer and kept the books on Quicken and met with the auditor every November or December and gave him the five or so reports that he requested for the annual audit. It was no big deal and took very little time each month.

I'm off topic again but that's how it goes. I have a lot to complain about. It's too bad that a community as big as North Lakes and from what I see on this current newsletter, actually shows five board members, that they can't take things into their own hands. I can only assume that they still bring cake and cookies and a coffee pot to the meetings and giggle and laugh with their stupid jokes and sit and wait for Clara to give her monthly management report. Must be nice, eh? Clara is smiling all the way to the bank.

Vines now growing up the front. Side gate is open with graffitti spray painted on the walls. I will take pictures next for you to see if you care at all. Where is the mayor of this fair city? This could be the next drug house if it isn't already. Hey, that's an idea. Maybe with a little persuasion we can get the newpaper involved and shed some light on this. Would the mayor then get involved? I'd like to see this house razed myself. Be rid of it already.

Is there any alternatives? Can you come up with anything? Let's hear it!
