Keep your resume to one page. This is the rule. More than one page is the exception. Your resume should describe you to the reader. Your resume should tell the reader you can do the job. Everyone needs one. You will mail it to places you would like to work. You will mail it to companies posting jobs. You will give it to people who might be able to help you find work. You will hand carry it to businesses. You will post it on line. Never include your Social Security Number on your resume.
Starting with the Heading.
Your Objective should be short and descriptive with information about what you can do for the company. Do not say my objective is a job in a wonderful company where I can help make things better, using all my skills. This statement is too vague and does not tell your reader enough.
Objective: To work in the medical field with a stable company. I graduated Quality medical School with honors. I completed a 6 month internship. Having the opportunity to perform these and more duties for your company would be beneficial for my self as well as for your company.
Education, Work History,
When discussing what you did on previous jobs, describe your duties to the reader. Don't be vague. For instance, say I timely and accurately answered and routed approximately 100 in-coming calls daily.
Say "I received awards for excellent customer services two years in a row". Say I worked with limited supervision 2 days each week. There were never complaints about my work.
You want to tell the reader in volume what you did, and how well you did it. This paints a picture of you and your exact capabilities. And be sure you include in your work history specific duties you know the company needs someone to do. If you are not sure, find out before you submit your application.

This statement saves space on the resume. And this statement will result in a call to you to get names and contact numbers. Be sure you get the permission of the people to use them for references. If they do not know a lot about you, share a resume with them. And be sure they know your name, and not your "NICK-Name".
