SPRING FLING 2005

SPRING FLING

I know that officially Spring started on March 20th, but for Cleveland Neighborhood and its residents it’s marked by the “Spring Fling”. This year’s Food Festival proved to be a tantalizing treat for the taste buds. I mean what’s not to like about hot chocolate cake!
A large part of the success goes to all the restaurants and caterers that provided free of charge the delicious sampling of their menu. Tom and Jerry’s, Jutta’s Keller at Castle Falls, Chef Walter, Johnny Carino’s, LJ’s Ribhouse, Sellers Catering and Pizza Zone. Please patronize these establishments and let them know how much we appreciate their support. All restaurants
promise to come again next year and bring even more food.

I would like to thank the following volunteers that helped get everything ready prior to the Food Festival and helped clean up afterwards, Dan Martin, Haley Jones, James Farrell, Michael Farndale, Mark Hoggard, Jeanie Ruedy, Beth Duncan, Tom Sigler, Don Pritchett, David Nelson, Jennifer Nelson, Patrick Tiernan and Vince Winton. If I have left anyone out thank you and except my apology. Thanks goes out to Haley Jones with Hiland Diary for furnishing the Red Diamond Ice Tea for the event.

I also want to thank all the people who came out for the Spring Fling, it was the biggest yet. We counted around 150 adults and children. As always the kids enjoyed the Moonwalk. The next Special Event will be the Ice Cream Social
on Monday, July 4th, from 2:00–4:00 p.m.
