Commercial Vehicles on Streets

Posted in: Radnor Green
Are there any guidelines concerning commercial vehicles parked on the streets? Not people performing work - I mean neighbors who drive work trucks (tow truck - Delmarva Power Truck, ect) and park them on the street. Its not a once in a while event - a daily occurance and then they sit all weekend. Anyhelp would be appreciated...

RE: Commercial Vehicles

You can contact county complaint to see if there are any rules being broken by these vehicles. County complaint's phone number is: 302-395-5555.

I really don't know what you expect someone who has to drive a vehicle for work to do other than park it at their house? I can understand if it is idling non-stop or blocking the road but put yourself in their position and I don't think they have much choice.

Would you complain if they were a police officer and they were parking their ''work vehicle'' in front of the house?

Is your concern the size of the vehicles? Are they blocking the street? Or do you simply think they are an eye sore? I'm not really sure I understand what your issue is with these vehicles.

If they are running a business out of the house that is a county complaint issue but a Delmarva truck doesn't appear to fall under that guideline.
Commercial Vehicles

I fully understand how the person feels about commercial trucks parking on the street. I have a neighbor who has 5 vehicles that includes a commercial truck. They only have 3 drivers and the truck is in the street all night and then all weekends. Not to mention that they have to park 2 other cars on the street why they keep 2 cars in the driveway. The question to be answered is why can't they park there work truck at the company they work for and drive there own car to the company?
