Buy outs?????

They would have to pay me a minimum of $200,000.00 to move from the valley. This would cover the cost of the movers, pay off my current mortgage and a new home. If I heard correctly, the original 18 homes were bought out for $100,00.00 each.
With all the budget cuts going on I don't think that the city has the $70 million for the proposed buys outs.

Buyouts are not being proposed. But
You're right, and 200 grand would NOT even cover it for me.
Let them pay 70 million for detention basins, get us out of the flood plain once and for all, stop holding us all in limbo, and leave us alone.

If there were buyouts

If there were buyouts, which I highly doubt it would ever happen,
because I'd sue first,
I just know we would be low balled because of the sheer momentus amount of property that would have to be paid for by the Government people. We'd probably be lucky to get as high as $100,000.
The people that were bought out here in the neighborhood were romanced with more money then they should have probably gotton in a typical buyout. Some special deals were made.
