Right, we will presume this is an attempt at humor or a personal desire.  When kids get together unsupervised, mischief will happen, nature of the beast, never changed and never will.  As adults it is our charge to maintain some sort of order in our lives and if that means getting involved in explaining to some other adult that their child is misbehaving, then so be it.  As I have stated in this forum before, the parent may not actually know what their kid is up to and might actually thank you for filling them in on the antics.

Whatever trips your trigger.

We have started getting the kids on video if we see them doing something.   It would be awesome to get a surveillance camera that would truly be the only true way to catch them. I do know that I am not taking chances. Now I even call my neighbors when I see kids doing something to their property so they can say something to them too. Eventually, maybe they will stay away from our property because they don't want to hear from the adults. We will see.

Trust me if I knew where those kids lived I would not hesitate to send you the address so you could inform the parents. However, the kids are hanging out away from their homes and they are either on bikes or just on foot. I am not afraid to get in my car and follow them home if need be, however it isn't always possible.  Hopefully we will catch these little suckers.

Good for you and let us know what you get.  The point is, this is still a good neighborhood.  Any time you see members of your community pouring dollars into their properties, that is a good sign.  Just last summer we had a member of our community add a mother in-law wing to their property.  Major investment and a good sign for our community.  As I have stated in the past, the parents may not actually know what their children are up to.  As a kid, I didn't tell my folks I was going to go out with my friends and act a fool and try to be the most stupid or obvious idiot in the group.  I just said I was going out with my buds etc.  My point being that the parents may not actually know what their kids are doing.  Tell the parents if you find out where the kid lives.  If you feel uncomfortable with that call Affordable HOA/Cindy Dean and we will find a way to advise the parents that their kid is being an a-hole.

I think keeping a camera handy at all times and using a zoom to get an up close view of the kids doing what they shouldn't. Then those pictures could be shown to the parents or law enforcement if necessary. I would like to know what the laws are on trespassing-for instance if we could put up a no trespassing sign to at least keep the kids out of our yards.
