Is anyone else having a problem with their new mailbox? The paint is peeling off the base in large chunks. It looks like it was not sealed/painted properly. I called the property manager to find out who to call about the problem. The person who answered the call told me that normal fading was to be expected. I explained a second time that I was not experiencing a "fading problem." I am experienicing an "all the paint is peeling off" problem. She gave me number to Global Home Products. I have left a message twice over a period of three days with no call-back. I was just curious to know if anyone else had noticed the base of their new mail box peeling....

Ours was one of the first of the new mailboxes installed and we are definitely having this issue!   We're going to purchase some paint and do our best to remedy the problem since I don't think anyone will be doing anything about it.  But please post again if you get anywhere with this!!

Global Products said they would come and take a look at the problem....they didn't. We will be doing the repair ourselves.....

Update:  We contacted the company.  They came out without telling me, but I was home and watched them through the window.  They looked at the mailbox post for a minute and spray-painted the bottom part.  I was glad that they responded, but wish they had made a better effort!
