I along with almost everyone else on Newberry Ln. and Cardiff Ln. have young children that love to play outside. Newberry lane seems to be everyone coming from Ponte Pool's cut through to get to Eagle Trace. NOT NECCESSARY!!!! Drive 100 more yards to the stop sign at EAGLE TRACE. Not only do you people use my street unneccessarily, but you also use it as a DRAG STRIP. I am in the process of petitioning the city to post no through traffic signs as well as speed humps. We love our children and hate to see idiots drive through the road for no reason at excessive speeds.

Maybe YOU should let your kids play in the back yard. That's where mine play. Come on let's use some common sense. There is a perfectly good playground at the beginning of the neighborhood, or haven't you seen it with you nose stuck so high in the air. Good luck with your petition!!!!!

So  because idiots like you feel like disobeying posted speed limits and common sense when children are present, its my fault? There are 25 kids on the aformentioned streets that enjoy riding scooters and bikes and generally being children. So i should not allow my kids nor the rest of the children to play without fear of knuckle heads plowing over them. I think not! I will continue my efforts on the speed humps as well as yelling at everyone who recklessly and thoughtlessly speeds up and down my road. The big red signs say STOP not ROLL by the way. The playground in the front of the neighborhood is great. Eagle Trace is still a 25 mph zone. When was the last time someone actually drove that? Stop trying to find an excuse for reasons why the law is broken. Common sense for most people is to slow down when children are present.

Let's be clear about one thing. The law is the law. I've never seen the blatant abuse of driving whatever speeds you think you can drive or completely ignoring STOP signs. I'm not going to mix words with any idiot that thinks he/she is above the law. My process is going to be simple...I get your tag number and I turn you in to the MJPD and let them deal with you. I've tried being nice with a couple of people who fly down Eagle Trace Dr. and who don't just roll thru STOP signs but actually blow thru them. Well...enough is enough. You either slow down, obey the law or deal with my good friends who use fines and handcuffs to get the point across. And, yes, I have discussed this issue with teh City Manager, the Police Chief and the Mayor and I know what I am doing. Also, I would like to talk with the person who has the petition started as I would like to help in that pursuit. I'm done playing nice about this.
