Hello,

Does anyone know of any local dog boarding kennels? I'm going on vacation and need care for my dogs while I'm away.

I use Ironwood Animal Hospital in Fry's center... 85 West Combs Road # 116 next to the Sheriff Substation....

They do shots, use their own food if necessary and give the dog a bath just before you pick them up if you call first.

I haven't used Ironwood Animal Hospital for boarding but I use them for my vet and Dr. Lindgren there is awesome, I'd trust them for sure.

But if you want an actual boarding facility with a bit more freedoms, I'd highly recommend Super Mutts in Apache Junction.  It's privately owned and operated at their home, they board, do behavior training, obidience training, and grooming and are absolutely AMAZING.  www.supermutts.com highly highly recommend.  They allow the dogs to come into their home to be "part of the family", let them play in the fenced yard, it's a really wonderful set up.  Ken and his wife Wendy are amazing people.

If you want to leave your pets in your home, I pet sit in the area and for Castlegate residents only charge $13 per visit regardless of how many animals you have.  My email is Mommie2One4Ever@aol.com

Thanks for the referrals- unfortunately, one of my dogs did not like being left at a kennel so we to go to plan B.  We had a neighbor watch them while we were away...
