Castle Pines North Homeowners Association Number One

July - Vicker Receives Approval

Aug 20, 1999

VICKERS RECEIVES APPROVAL
The Castle Pines Village Preliminary Plans 27 & 28 were approved by the County Commissioners. The Commissioners approved the plans over the objections of both Castle Pines North and Castle Pines Village residents, Homeowner Associations and the Douglas County Planning Board. The approval allows the plans to proceed to final planning as the 22 conditions per plan are achieved. Upon completion of the 22 conditions per plan, the applicant must then receive a final approval from staff and the Commissioners. The approval will allow 100 homes of the proposed 306 in the plan to proceed after the conditions are meet. All construction and resident traffic will enter Castle Pines Village Gate #l. Jack Vickers will work with the owners of the ranch to the east to gain a permanent access to the Village property. The goal is to eliminate traffic on Castle Pines Parkway and Forest Park drive. If the road does not become a reality, we will again be at the mercy of the County Commissioners. I would suggest that we remember Commissioners Worley, Maxwell & Sullivan at election time!
REQUEST DENIED
The ?“Civic minded?” members, Charles Schapp, Dale Mullins and Steve Thatch who have litigated the election results had asked Judge Lawrence for more attorney fees. The request of over $16,000 was denied by the judge. The judge did admit that part of the fee issue was his error but the attorneys for both sides should have recognized this. The HOA was given 15 days to file a request to have the HOA fees paid by the civic minded. At the monthly meeting a unanimous decision not to persue the cost was chosen.

Except for the Independent Committee's report the Board hopes the issue is now closed.
THANK YOU

RV's BOATS TRAILERS
You can tell its summer when the RV's Boats and travel trailers are parked on the streets and cul de sacs. These vehicles are not permitted by the CPN covenants, We have received complaints from your neighbors about these violations. Please be considerate to your neighbors when visitors or your boat is illegally parked in the community.
