Just wanted to thank the person or group that has put up the decorations on the entrance at Dietz Road. They are really cute and look so nice lighted.
Who's in chagre of the other entrances. I don't understand why we have to rely on volunteer workers with that huge amount of money we pay in every year.
I think we need a much better explanation of where the money is going.
What doesn the yearly budget look like. Why do you continue to raise the rate?
Again, thanks to those who made our entrance look so special.
Holiday Blessings. The Thies Family.

Thanks for your interest

We appreciate your interest and will try to answer your question. We often hear of concerns about our entrance ways when they are not decorated as many in the Schertz area always are. One of the main issues is we have 5 separate entrances vs one like most neighborhoods. Also far as we can determine all these neighborhoods use volunteer help to decorate every year. We have tried various plans over the years. A couple years ago we purchased decorations for all the entrances and within 48 hours vandals had carried off a majority of the decorations. then we offered any resident a cost refund to decorate the entrances on their own. This year, we had no volunteers to take on the task so the entrances did not get decorated. As you noted a couple conscientious residents took the time and effort to decorate phase 3 and phase 4 entrances. We are most appreciative of this and perhaps some other residents in the different sections would like to adopt an entrance. We are open to any suggestions and have some budget to cover these items. At the annual meeting every year we pass out financial statements and discuss reasons for assessment increases. This and the monthly meetings are always open for you to attends and address any questions you may have. If you have any more questions or concerns we meet the third Thursday of every month at the VFW on FM78 at 7PM.
