NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH PROGRAM TO BEGIN

We are currently in the process of getting volunteer to partisipate in our neighborhood Watch Program. Nancy Jerome has volunteered her time to set up and coordinate the efforts.
We have had great response from our neighbors to volunteer as Building Captains to solicite a questioneer that NaNcy has suggested. Here is Nancy's article.


TO ALL RESIDENTS OF CARLTON FOREST,
The importance of having a phone list of contact numbers available of Carlton Forest residents will ensure community protection and safety. The Association Board believes it?’s important to contact homeowners in case of emergencies such as burglary, fire or health related issues. With such contact numbers available, emergencies can be dealt with through fast and efficient action. Protecting the specific homeowner and the community as a whole is a top priority with this Board.

These contact numbers will be strictly confidential. Each condo building will have one captain that will be in charge of keeping the list of contact numbers. In case the Captain is not available in time of need, the President of the Association Board will also keep a master copy of all homeowner contact numbers.

We will also be creating a Neighborhood Watch Program. A Neighborhood Watch Program is a great way to get to know your neighbors. It focuses on the community, crime and quality of life issues. It will create a better sense of security and reduce the fear of crime. We will be able to look out for one another and learn how to report suspicious and criminal activities to the police department. By being aware of our surroundings, we lessen the chance for criminal activity to occur. We will also be creating a better working relationship with the NOVI Police Department.
