I live across from the park. I am very
concerned about the speeding cars that
pass by my home everyday going and coming - would like to see us have at least two low-level speed bumps installed in the near future between the front entrance gates and the curve at the back of Canyon Brook Drive. Let's consider this immediately before we have a tragedy that we will all have to live with.

I agree 100%, the speeding problem is not getting better. I am leaning more and more towards speed ''humps'' myself. The cost will be ~$800-1000 apiece, if I am not mistaken. Does any one else have thoughts.

I'm also concerned about the speeding, but I am opposed to the speed bumps or ''humps''. I've been in other neighborhoods where they exist, and the homeowners for the most part say they have caused nothing but misery, and, I've been told, have not improved the speeding all that much.
My personal opinion is that they are destructive to auto tires and axles, and I fear the speed bumps themselves, are in frequent need of maintenance. They are uncomfortable for anyone with spinal problems, believe me!!
Before we spend money on this, I'd like to see us explore the Neighborhood Patrol which we discussed at our last meeting, and at least attempt to enforce our speed limit. Enforcement of all of our covenents is painfully lacking.

SPEEDING

We are going to place a community news board at the gate for listing community events and a place to pick-up the news Letter.

There is space on the board to list Speeders. Perhaps having their name listed for all to see may impact there disregard for their neighbors and the children at play.

This is a lot less expensive than speed bumps.
