YOUR LANDSCAPE COMMITTEE AT WORK

Nov 07, 2000

You may have noticed all the railings; signs and post have been painted. A big thank you to Mr. Charles Stubblefield for all his hard work painting.

New aluminum signs have replaced the worn plywood ones. Please heed the speed limit message!

'Although the weather was not ideal we had 12 volunteers who started our beautification project. The painting of the gates was not done due to the wet weather, but we accomplished much more. The majority of the work completed was moving about 4 tons of rocks to the front entrance. Actually, it was not quite 4 tons but it felt like it Saturday afternoon. We made a new bed on the left of the entrance, extended the bed on the right and shored up the bed by the entrance gate. We also rocked the left bed by the pedestrian gate.

I want to thank everyone who participated and donated his or her time to make Canyon Creek Bluffs a prettier place to live.

The trees are scheduled to be trimmed this next week when the weather cooperates and the bark is dry enough to cut safely.

Once the heavier work is completed such as the center island rework, soil improvements and flowerbed enhancements, we will again be looking for volunteers. This will be for planting the shrubs, perennial and annual beds.

The date of this next beautification project will be posted on the community calendar.
