Samford Avenue Bike Lanes Dedication May 16

May 18, 2009

The City of Auburn and the Auburn Bicycle Committee invite citizens to the dedication of the Samford Avenue Bike Lanes on Saturday, May 16 at 8 a.m. at the intersection of East Samford Avenue and Jockish Street. Immediately following the dedication, all cyclists are invited to join the Bike & Breakfast Group for their weekly Saturday morning ride.

As Alabama's only Bicycle-Friendly Community, designated by the League of American Bicyclists, the City of Auburn boasts over 32 miles of bicycle lanes and multi-use paths for citizens to enjoy. More than 100 additional miles of bicycle lanes and multi-use paths are proposed under the Bicycle Network, the City's comprehensive bicycle plan.
